Warranty Policy

PROTOTYPE products have been developed and manufactured with great care and precision, they are submitted to demanding tests.

For items purchased after January 1, 2023, the PROTOTYPE warranty is 3 years.

PROTOTYPE warranty only applies to claims made by the first owner, who must present the purchase receipt or invoice.

The first owner can extend the warranty period to 5 years at no extra cost by registering their product within the first 30 days of purchase.

Warranty will not be approved in cases of:

• Products without invoices;
• Damage resulting from any kind of modification;
• Damage resulting from normal wear of dust seals, bearing races, bearings,  free hubs, spokes, sprockets, handlebar grips, grip tape, stripped threads, stripped bolts, bushings, pawls, tools and wheel braking surfaces;
• Damage caused by incorrect installation or use of incompatible parts;
• Damage cause by shipment or storage;
• Damage resulting from inadequate maintenance;
• Damage caused intentionally;
• Damage caused from accidents or impacts. Check your elibility to our Crash Replacement Program.

PROTOTYPE assumes no liability for damages or injuries caused by inappropriate use or installation.
PROTOTYPE does not cover the labor costs associated with removing the product from the bicycle, and preparing the shipment.
The defective product must be claimed to the same authorized dealer you purchased it from.
